3 weeks ago I wouldnt have even thought about getting out of bed after the night I had last night (no sleep) (and no it wasnt because I was having fun).  But, I want to log my miles, so one mile down, 19 to go this week.

Good job. One day at a time! I'm not sure I believe the bit about not having fun. St G is just one big party isn't it?

Sunnyrun 1 - Bed 0. Your winning!

Jon beat me to comment! Darn him. 1 mile is better than none! Try to take a nap (as if a mom ever can).

SG is very fun! I thought of you both out there running Saturday up Hobble Creek. Watch out next year - hehe

From jona on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 11:23:27

Sunnyrun, we are going to hold you to that, next year!

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 11:59:11

I loved that race. It is pretty (a little hot) and fast. I can not wait to do it again and do even better---now that I have seen the course and know what to expect. Someone had told me there was this big hill towards the end, so I was holding out for it. It wasn't that big (although it wasn't fun or easy). Now I KNOW.

From jona on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 12:36:24

Kelli, That big hill? That was where you CHICKED me! You were just so excited that you got to chick another guy that you didn't even notice the hill. :-)

From Sunnyrun on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 12:40:49

Too funny! Awesome, way to go girl!

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 12:42:16

It was not a big hill---at least not what it was made out to be. But, YES!! I chicked you there. To make you feel better, I have a thing with hills---I try to get up them as fast as I can (not necessarily a sprint, but with as much as I have without killing myself). We run hills every day because it is all we have where we live! Anyway, if i do not really push it up a hill, I will quit and walk it. I struggled with that cause I so DID NOT want to chick you, but I had to get going before my legs stopped moving!

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 12:51:31

Yes, Sunnyrun, next year year you can come up here and chick him with me!

Sorry, Jon, just teasing you! I REALLY did not want it to happen (only cause I did not have my SHIRT!)

From jona on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 13:06:57

Its ok. I have it coming. I will just use it as motivation to be better. I doubt I will ever run another race in my life now, but will train as if I were.

From Sunnyrun on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 13:10:13

You better run a race again! Im plotting my SG races right now (Im glad my boss isnt a runner, or else he might see that Im blog'in instead of work'in) lol There are some good races coming up in the next few months that will be fun!

From jona on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 14:28:39

You just want to CHICK me! I'm a marked man now.

You women should carry little bright orange stickers that read "CHICKED" and slap them on the back of all the guys you chick! I probably shouldn't add any fuel to your idea fires.

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 15:33:03

Oh my heck!!! That is the BEST idea ever. EVER.

You will run. What if I say I can get you in to St George (not that I can), but then would you run???

From jona on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 15:49:35

I would give it a try, I don't know that I would be ready at all!!!!!!! My longest run/best training week was last week. I would have what 4-5 weeks to train, get A TON of miles in, then no tapper. I would be getting a 5 hr beating!

I would not give you the chance to put a sticker on me, I would start behind you and stay there!!!!!!!! :-)

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 26, 2008 at 16:03:33

Then, you should train like you are going! You never know what might happen between now and then. Plus, you can commiserate with the rest of us.

My longest run ever was 15.5 miles before TOU last year. We never did more than 40 miles a week. I finished just under 4 hours. So, unless you are trying to win or BQ, you would be fine!

Oh yeah, take my excuses away from me. :)
