Since my last run I have really worked hard to get healthy and healed. In my life thats making a lot of changes but Ive done it!  Ive kicked my liquid consumption, went to the Dr about my knee, (Im taking Diclofenac which has taken 99% of the pain away) and Ive stretched daily for my hamstring pull.  I have ridden my stationary bike a few times, played soccer, baseball and woffelball with my kids without pain for the past 3 weeks.  Ive come to the realization that I will never be a "real runner" like others on this blog, but I can still go out there and run and feel good about doing it. I can spend 15 min a day on the stationary bike and I can run a mile every day. I will find the time to do that for myself!

Overall I am feeling better, Im a little nervouse to try running again but I think Im ready.  Tommorrow is the big day (as long as the weather holds up)  :)

I did it!  I ran a mile this am.  I felt like a ton of bricks.  Every step was like running through knee deep mud.  I could see where I needed to go to get to the .5 mile marker - I kept my eyes fixed on it and just kept trudging along. Made it there, turned and kept running back.  I finished the mile, did a little walk cool down, then rode the bike inside.  Finished with a great stretch. So far, no pain in knee or hamstring.  Lungs hurt a little but thats because I havent used them in 2 months.

My leg was a little tight Wednesday, so I didnt try running yesterday or today.  But tomorrow we are heading to Vegas and I plan on running/walking with my sister in law there.  Its amazing how fast muscle can turn to jiggle, but just after running once this week I can feel those muscles again (Im sore from running a mile - lol).  But its a good sore!!  By mid May I wont be singing "Watch it jiggle, see it wiggle" as I run.
